Im|mu|no|as|say [-ə'seɪ; immun- engl. assay = Analyse, Prüfung, Versuch], der; -s, -s; S: Immunassay: Sammelbez. für sehr empfindliche immunchem. Analysenmethoden zu Nachweis u. Bestimmung solcher biol. aktiven Stoffe (z. B. Proteine, Hormone, Pharmaka, Toxine), die sich an spezif. markierte u. daher auf ihrem Reaktionsweg durch AAR verfolgbare Antigene oder Antikörper binden lassen. Nach Markierungstechniken unterscheidet man haupts. Enzymimmunoassay (EIA, ELISA, EMIT), Fluoreszenzimmunoassay (FIA, Immunfluoreszenz) u. Radioimmunoassay (RIA).
